Good News 4 U

Good News 4 U is our bookshop in Westport ran by Calvary Church. Good News 4 U opened in February 2002 on James Street. We moved to our current location on the Octagon (between our good neighbours the Town Hall and Aisling Crafts) in September 2005.

Why we are called Good News 4 U? Well, the “Gospel” literally means good news. The apostle John summed it up perfectly in one of the most famous verses in the Bible - John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Surely there’s no better news than that!


We stock a good range of Bibles and Christian books (new and used) both for adults and children. We have a wide variety of books that deal with the big questions of life – Why are we here? What happens after we die? Who is God? How do we know that Christianity is really true?
